About

I am a London based artist with a fascination for portraiture. 

I draw inspiration from the Old Masters and from the fleeting sense by the Impressionists. Mannerism is my overarching favourite style for  its universality and elegance, found throughout the centuries and in many movements, it leaves me captivated time and again.

My interest is picqued by what demonstrates genuine human expressions, up close or through gestures. I render my subjects with an atmosphere that alternates being subdued or brightly chromatic, with brushstrokes simultaneously broad and fine, brisk and sensitive.  

Painting from life is my preference and oil is my medium of choice.
